Botafumeiro

The Camino de Santiago. the Way of Saint James. 

There are many roads that pilgrims travel leading eventually to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, St James of the Field of Stars. Legend has it that the Apostle James is buried in the cathedral. When pilgrims arrive at the cathedral they often embrace the statue of St James and some attend the Friday pilgrim's mass witnessing the Botafumeiro.
